Child Safety Standards
HelloAgain (com.joinhelloagain.app) · Last updated: June 20, 2026
HelloAgain ("we", "our", "us", or "the Company") is committed to keeping every person who uses the Service safe — above all, children. We maintain a strict, zero-tolerance policy toward child sexual abuse and exploitation ("CSAE") in any form, including child sexual abuse material ("CSAM"). These publicly posted Child Safety Standards describe the conduct we prohibit, the safeguards we operate, how anyone can report a concern, how we respond, and how we cooperate with law enforcement and child-protection organizations in the United States and around the world. They are published in accordance with the Google Play Child Safety Standards policy and applicable law, and form part of our Terms of Use.
1. Zero Tolerance for CSAE and CSAM
We prohibit the use of HelloAgain — including chat, voice notes, voice and video calls, memories, photos, profiles, and every other feature — for any activity that sexualizes, exploits, endangers, or harms a child (any person under the age of 18). Prohibited conduct includes, without limitation:
- Creating, uploading, storing, sharing, requesting, soliciting, or linking to CSAM of any kind — including photographic, video, audio, AI-generated, drawn, or otherwise simulated material.
- Grooming: contacting, befriending, or building trust with a minor in order to facilitate sexual abuse or exploitation, whether online or offline.
- Sextortion: threatening, coercing, or blackmailing a minor using real or alleged intimate images or information.
- Sexualization of minors in any form, including text, imagery, audio, video, live calls, captions, or usernames.
- Child trafficking, or advertising, soliciting, or facilitating the sexual exploitation of a child.
2. Minimum Age; Children Under 13
- The Service requires a minimum age of 13, as set out in our Terms of Use.
- HelloAgain is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, consistent with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
- If we learn that an account belongs to a child under 13, we delete the account and its data. If you believe a child under 13 is using the Service, contact us at safety@joinhelloagain.com.
3. Safety by Design
- Private circles only — every connection requires a mutual invitation and acceptance. There are no public profiles, no public feeds, no public chat rooms, and no discovery of strangers.
- Messages, voice notes, calls, and memories can be exchanged only between users who have explicitly connected with each other.
- Users can remove or block a member of their circle at any time, immediately cutting off all contact.
- Content submitted to AI features is used solely to fulfil the user's request and remains subject to these Standards.
4. In-App Reporting and User Feedback
If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local law enforcement (call 911 in the United States) before contacting us.
- Report a member: open the Circle tab, select the member, and choose Report. Reports are confidential and are routed directly to our safety team.
- Block a member: blocking instantly stops all communication with that person.
- Anyone — including non-users, parents, and guardians — may report a child-safety concern by emailing safety@joinhelloagain.com. Please include as much detail as possible (account names, dates, and screenshots where available).
5. How We Respond to Reports (Moderation and Enforcement)
- Child-safety reports are prioritized and reviewed by our safety team through a dedicated safety-case system; we aim to act within 24 hours.
- Where we determine a violation has occurred, we remove the content and suspend or permanently terminate the responsible account.
- We preserve related content and account records where required by law so that they remain available to law enforcement and child-protection authorities.
- We may also apply intermediate measures — restricting features, removing specific content, or requiring additional verification — where warranted.
6. CSAM Reporting to Authorities
- Upon obtaining actual knowledge of apparent CSAM on the Service, we remove it and report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) through its CyberTipline, as required of providers by U.S. federal law (18 U.S.C. § 2258A).
- We preserve reported material and associated data as required by 18 U.S.C. § 2258A so that it is available to law enforcement.
- Outside the United States, we cooperate with recognized child-protection hotlines (including INHOPE member hotlines) and local authorities.
- Members of the public may also report CSAM directly to NCMEC at report.cybertip.org, or to their national hotline via inhope.org.
7. Compliance with U.S. and International Child Safety Laws
We maintain these Standards to comply with applicable child-safety laws and platform policies, including:
- United States — the federal CSAM statutes (18 U.S.C. §§ 2251, 2252, and 2252A), the PROTECT Act, the provider reporting and preservation duties of 18 U.S.C. § 2258A (as amended by the REPORT Act), and COPPA.
- European Union — the Digital Services Act and applicable EU rules on combating child sexual abuse.
- United Kingdom — the Online Safety Act 2023.
- Other jurisdictions — applicable local child-protection and mandatory-reporting laws in the regions where the Service is available.
- Platform policies — the Google Play Child Safety Standards policy and the Apple App Store Review Guidelines.
8. Cooperation with Law Enforcement
We cooperate with law enforcement agencies investigating child exploitation. We respond to valid legal process (subpoenas, court orders, warrants, and equivalent international instruments), and where we believe in good faith that a child is at imminent risk of serious harm, we may disclose information to law enforcement on an emergency basis to the extent permitted by law.
9. Designated Child Safety Point of Contact
In accordance with the Google Play Child Safety Standards policy, we have designated a child safety point of contact who is ready and able to speak about HelloAgain's CSAM prevention practices and our compliance with these Standards and applicable child-safety laws.
- HelloAgain Child Safety Team — safety@joinhelloagain.com (designated child safety contact for reports, hotlines, regulators, and law enforcement).
- General support — support@joinhelloagain.com.
- We acknowledge child-safety inquiries promptly, typically within 24 hours.
10. Enforcement; Violations
Any violation of these Standards results in immediate removal of the offending content, permanent termination of the responsible account, preservation of evidence, and reporting to the appropriate authorities as described above. The Company reserves all rights and remedies available to it at law or in equity in respect of any such violation.
11. Amendments to These Standards
The Company reserves the right, exercisable at its sole and absolute discretion, to amend, vary, supplement, restate, or replace these Child Safety Standards, in whole or in part, at any time and without prior individual notice, save where such notice is mandated by applicable law. The operative version shall at all times be the version published within the application or at the Company's designated location, as evidenced by the "Last updated" date appearing above. Your continued access to or use of the Service following the publication of any revision shall constitute your conclusive acceptance thereof.
12. Related Policies
These Standards should be read together with our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use, available inside the app under Profile and at the Company's designated public locations.
